As part of the hotel’s art experience, Plaza Art Lounge is a recurring concept where different exhibitors are given space in the lounge. Through opening receptions and temporary exhibitions, an environment is created that evolves over time and offers new impressions each month.

About Nermina Sarajlic
Nermina Sarajlic is an artist and art teacher with a background in art history. Her work focuses mainly on portraits and popular culture, exploring people, expression and visual storytelling.
She draws inspiration from people, music, travel and popular culture, as well as encounters between the everyday and the iconic. Through her paintings, she aims to capture a feeling or expression that inspires recognition, curiosity and perhaps a personal story in the viewer.
Her background as an art teacher and her interest in art history naturally influence her work, giving it both a historical connection to Pop Art and a desire to experiment with colour, form and expression.

About the exhibition
Nermina Sarajlic’s exhibition “Summer Stories” is on display at Plaza Art Lounge from 4 September 2026.
“Sommarberättelser”, or “Summer Stories”, is a vibrant collection of acrylic paintings capturing different aspects of summer – from pop culture icons and the expressive world of music to the tranquillity, movement and freedom of the warmer months. The exhibition features portraits of well-known figures and artists alongside paintings of women that place colour, strength and beauty at the centre.
The exhibition also includes works inspired by the sea, summer life and the energy of shared experiences. One piece captures a special summer moment filled with anticipation, passion and togetherness – the collective euphoria that arises when people unite around something they love. A feeling of positive energy, joy and belonging, regardless of who we are or where we come from.
Together, these works tell a story of summer as a feeling – filled with colour, music, warmth, freedom, togetherness and memories.
