The hotel

Welcome to Hotel Plaza! We are happy that you have chosen us for your stay in Västerås.
Before you start making yourself at home by throwing yourself on the bed, jump into the shower or unpack, we would like to ask you about one thing: promise to let us know if there is anything you miss, longing for or have questions about during your stay with us. You fin dus at the front desk 24/7 and we are here to make your stay special and memorable.
There is always something to eat and drink at the hotel. You don´t need to go to sleep hungry when you are staying with us.
Plaza is the most central hotel in Västerås. Close to the railwaystation, but far enough to give you a quiet night sleep.

Facilities

Sauna
Our Sky Spa area are located on floor 23 and 25. Entrance fee will be added. If you wish to make a reservation for a nice SPA treatment , you can do so at skyspasweden.com and you will also find the opening hours there.

Gym
Sky Gym is located on the 22nd floor. A nice, centraland functional gym, guaranteed with the best view in the city. Sky Gym is open 6.00 am – 10.00 pm.

Parking
Parking garage is located under the hotel with direct elevator up to the lobby. The garage is operated by Aimo Park and a parking fee will be added. A 24 hour ticket can be purchased at the reception but you can also pay directly in the garage.

Other facilities
Luggage room is found on the lobby floor. The hotel also offers conference rooms.

If you need help with luggage or wish to store luggage in the luggage room, please contact the reception

Extra service – free of charge
Please contact the reception if you wish for something extra, like: blanket, pillow, towel, washcloth, soap, shampoo, hanger, shower chair, baby cot, bathrobe, slippers, monile charger or umbrella

Express check out
We offer express check out. Pay your stay at check-in and leave the room key in the mailbox in the lobby when leaving the hotel.

Fans
In every room there is cooling fans. You can borrow a fan in the reception

Forgot something
Should you have forgotten some things at home, remember that we have free toiletries like toothbrush/paste, shaving kit, sewing kit, comb, shower cap and sanitary items, free of charge at the front desk.

Ice
Do you want ice? It is available in the bar. Contact the reception if you have any questions.

Service
The reception is open 24/7 and we are pleased to help you with any questions.

Iron
The ironing room is located on the 5th floor, opposite room 508. If you want to borrow an iron and ironing board to the room please contact the reception and we will help you.

Sewing service
Do you need assistance with minor sewing? Please contact the front desk.

Newspapers
You will find VLT (Västmanlands Läns Tidning) in the breakfast area.

Laundry
Hotel Plaza offers dry cleaning. Put your clothes in the laudry bag that you find in the closet. Leave your laundry bag in the reception before 9 am and you will get your clothes back the same day. You will find the pricelist along with the laundry bag.

Front Desk
The reception is manned 24/7. To get in contact please dial 99 on your room telephone. The hotels entrance is locked during the night. Please use the doorbell to enter the hotel.

Check out time is 12.00 am

The Lobbybar, Sky Bar, Sky Spa and the hotel is cash free.

Credit Cards
We accept American Express, Master Card, maestro, Visa and Diners. Invoice request must be agreed minimum three days prior to arrival.

Non Smoking
Hotel Plaza is a non-smoking hotel. If these rules are not followed, we will charge you 1500 SEK for sanitation of the room.

Electricity
Think of the enviroment, please turn off the lights when you leave the room.

Food & drinks

Bar & Lounge
The Lobbybar is located on the lobbyfloor. You find our lovely breakfast here every morning and cozy dinners every evening Monday – Saturday. Sky Bar on floor 24 serves classic and self-designed coctails Fridays and Saturdays with a stunning view.

Breakfast
Breakfast is served weekdays 6.30 – 9.30 am end on weekends 7.00 – 10.30 am on the lobby floor. We offer “Breakfast to go” every morning, please make your order at the reception the day before no later than 10.00 pm.

Drinks & Snacks
Hot and cold drinks can be bought at the lobbybar. The tap water is safe to drink and very tasty.

Restaurant
The restaurant Lobbybaren is located on the lobby floor. Here you will find everything from a small apetizer to the classic, international and modern kitchen to the green and local. To make a reservation please contact the reception. For opening hours and meny please see QR-code on opposite side.

Room service
Hotel Plaza offers room service during the restaurant´s operning hours. A room service fee will be added.

The password is written on your key card holder.

Guest PC
You can use the guest PC in the reception free of charge. The PC is connected to internet and printing is available. You can use the PC 24/7.

Fire Safety
The evacuation plan and instructions are placed by the room entrance door. Please make yourself familliar with the routines and the location of the nearest emergency exits upon arrival. For more information please read the brochure “Hotel Safety”

Medical emergencies
If a medical emergency occurs, please dial 1177 at any time. In life-threatening and acute illness or injuries, call 112.

Safe
We do not take any responsibility for any valuables left in the room. If you need to keep your items safe,  please use the safe in your room.

Meeting

Meeting rooms
We offer meeting rooms and are happy to help with organizing your meeting, event or conference. In the hotel we have two meeting rooms for 1-60 persons. Please contact the front desk for more information.

Activities

Do you like to play golf? Hotel Plaza works with several golfclubs.

The scenic Björnön is a nature reserve and has a unique flora, including a plentifiul stock of mistletoe which is Västmanlands flower. The wildlife is varied and you can expect to see both fallow, deer, badgers and foxes. At Björnön, there are lighted trails of various length, perfect to relax after work or to start the day with. The easiest way to get to Björnön is by car and it will take you app 10 minutes from the city center.

The Poetry Park playground is inspired by Tomas Tranströmer´s poetry and insect interest. It includes cable car, water park, water slide, trampoline and teeter. All under the supervision of large insects, birds, fungi and plants. The playground is located on Spinnakergatan on Öster Mälarstrand.

Other tourist attractions are: Vallby open-air museum, Västerås Aviation museum, Västerås veteranbåtsmuseum, Engsö, Art museum, the Cathedral of Västerås and lots of more. All well worth a visit.

In the city center there are also bowling, adventure land Prison Island, cinemas and lots of more.
